State Championships
The pinnacle of Victorian 29er racing — where the state's best sailors compete for the title.
2027 Victorian 29er State Championships
The Victorian Optimist, 420 and 29er Associations are excited to be working with Mornington Yacht Club towards bringing their 2027 Victorian State Championships together over the Labour Day long weekend, 6–8 March 2027. Each class will conduct its own State Championship, while sharing the venue and the opportunity to bring Victoria's junior and youth sailors together for three great days of racing. By bringing the Optimist, 420 and 29er communities together, we hope to create more than three great championships – we want to create a weekend where sailors and families can enjoy being part of a bigger sailing community, build friendships across classes and give our younger sailors a glimpse of the pathways and opportunities that lie ahead. More information from each class and Mornington Yacht Club will follow as event arrangements are finalised.
